Time as a stripper

There was this one a time, I worked as a stripper for an article I was writing. I wanted the first-hand experience of what it was like to be a stripper and see if the life lived up to its stigma. I had never stripped before and it was a little out of my comfort zone. Without a clue on how to get into the scene, I went where anyone would go to find some strippers, the strip club.

Cheetah's is probably one of the most well-known clubs in the LA area. I went in there and watched what went on there for a while and then one of the dancers approached me and asked me if I wanted a private lap dance. I figured this would be a good chance to get her in private to hopefully exchange numbers. Once we were alone she started to dance and I must say I really did like it. This was the first time in Cheetah's and I was really liking it. 3 lap dances later, I had her number and she was going to meet up with me for coffee after her shift.

When I met up Lisa after her shift. I asked her about her story and she told how she got started and that she loved the hours and the money. She said that there is always the occasional creep that tries to cop a feel or gets obsessed. But for the most part, it's like any other job, just with a different dress code.

I told her that I wanted to do it and how could I get into a club. She told me that if I was doing it for the experience it would be hard to get into a club because of the additions and the fact that I would be going up against experienced dancers. She suggested that I try to get on with a private party agency. She said many of them will train new dancers if they are the right physic. She said that I looked fit and sexy enough. She knew someone that ran one of the local LA private stripper agencies and she would see if she could set me up.

Later, Lisa text me her friend Christian's number and said he would be waiting for my call. I called him and explained my interest. He told me to go on his website and fill out the application. If I meet their criteria they would be willing to train. He said that their training would consist of being paired up with another dancer for a few shows and that the other dancer would take at least 50% of my earning as the fee for training. The charge seemed steep, but I wasn't there for the money anyway and I guess there weren't many other options.

Stay tuned for my next post when it all comes off.......

A Whole Lotta Shaking

I've been busily writing elsewhere and neglecting my blog after all this is the thing that started it all.
Ok, so I wrote a piece in an adult magazine called "cocksucker." If you've not read it, you should because it's a pretty damn good piece of writing that it was passed around the New York office like a joint at a party or as my younger self under the lunch tables in middle school.
Also, I wrote an article on fauxgasms. Don't lie to me; you've faked it, everyone has. I talked about why that's not always a bad thing. Monica Lewinsky used it as a political tool. And I wrote about why I like to date younger men, almost exclusively, and always will.
Most recently, I wrote a piece for Medium's magazine Matter. It's on how we purloin sex from narratives so thoroughly that fucking and storytelling are united as one. I'm quite proud of this piece, and you really need to read it
For Men's Health, I wrote a piece on the etiquette of dick pics, and this led me to write a series on the does and don'ts of sexting. Yes, it is still a thing and there are definitely some rules to keep you safe and not to offend
I was supposed to have a date tonight with a surprisingly delicious man but it was cancelled on account of illness. So I am spending the night at home alone tonight. Netflix and chill with my two dogs I suppose.
